Project management
The Project management is defined as the
process and activity of planning, organizing, motivating, and controlling resources,
procedures and protocols to achieve specific goals in scientific or daily
problems
Agile
Agile software development is a group of software development methods based on iterative and incremental development, where requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing, cross-functional teams.
Agile software development is a group of software development methods based on iterative and incremental development, where requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing, cross-functional teams.
Prince2
PRINCE2 (an acronym for PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a de facto
process-based method for effective project management.
ITILV3
ITIL is the most widely
adopted approach for IT Service Management in the
world. It provides a practical, no-nonsense framework for
identifying, planning, delivering and supporting IT services to the business.
Project Management
Vs. Agile
Each project starts by a
project´s need and description. The
project description must be done in collaboration with all party particularly
with the end user.
The constant customer/end user collaboration
during and after the project description provides great
opportunities to motivate and to understand well the project´s scope and its requirements, the services support as well as to measure project success by gauging the
level of customer/end user satisfaction throughout each life cycle of the
project.
Agile Vs. Prince2
The project description
is a startup of any project. It is a sample
project Initiation Document. It is the
raw material. The projection description
is like an input to a production process
for subsequent modification and transformation into a finished
business good. Once the raw material (project description) is available we need
to translate it into the right business case.
The PRINCE2 offers
great templates scenarios to translate
projection description into business case and follow. Please note that in
PRINCE2 business case is a component of the Project Initiation Document and
lies at the heart of every PRINCE2 project.
Prince2 Vs. ITILV3
The choice of sustain IT systems and react to change that support your
projection description are vital to
focus on business value, good ROI, speed to market, and delivery of solutions
in response to your project change.
To focus on the project business value, good ROI, speed to market, and
delivery of solutions in response to the
change , the IT services must be aligned to the needs of the business and
underpin the core business processes. ITILV3 provides guidance on how
to use IT as a tool to facilitate business change,
transformation and growth.
Example: The use of Agile, Project Management, Prince2,
ITILV3 for the decision on Business Applications Management.

Conclusion
The traditional project description is a first
guideline of the project management. To enter the project description into the
market, we need a business case. Also IT Service management is not an option. It is vital to
focus on business value, good ROI, speed to market, and delivery and support of solutions
in response to change. Agile approaches mean an incremental method to change,
early delivery of business value, and collaborative work towards change.
Understanding and employing Agile, Project Management, ITILV3, and PRINCE2 together can provide the potential for a well-run business applications management Contract, Operation and Support which is responsive to change and will not halt progress.
